This was amazing project that we were blessed to work on in two phases over two years. Our client had recently purchased the home knowing that it had several rotting logs and grey paint that needed to come off. The main home was 220′ in length, and there was a matching log barn down the hill. Further, we ended up restoring a guest cabin on the far end of the farm.
We replaced around 300′ of rotten logs, and then chemically stripped the multiple coats of latex paint off the homes. Next, after washing and borating, we sanded everything. We chinked and then stained with Permachink Lifeline Dark Natural.
The second phase was to chink all of the log ends, and the rebuild the decks and log railings. Once rebuilt, we crafted and installed new cedar log railings. Further, we stripped the paint off of the existing deck structures and ceilings, sanded, and stained.
This place is a true treasure and very unique! We are blessed and fortunate to be the company that gets to take care of it.
